A public registry with institutional standing
PATRIMOINE-ID lists classified cultural properties, both movable and immovable, under the supranational authority of OIMAP. Every registration follows a verifiable procedure, backed by an official certificate and a publicly viewable history.
The registry guarantees the transparency and traceability of heritage protection: every record publishes its legal status, its responsible authority and the full history of the actions concerning it.

Registration is temporarily suspended pending a review: further verification, a dispute, or a withdrawal request.

Frequently asked questions
What is a verification certificate?
The certificate is the official document attesting to a property's registration. Each certificate carries a unique code (format PID-XXXXXX) and a QR code, letting anyone verify its authenticity online at any time.
How is a property registered?
Registration is initiated by the member country's national authority via the OIMAP back office. The file is reviewed technically and legally before publication and issuance of the certificate.
What is the difference between "classified" and "inventoried"?
Classification offers the highest level of protection: any management action is frozen without prior authorization. Inventory documents the property and imposes a lighter conservation and reporting obligation.
Is the registry open to the public?
Yes. All published records, their history and their certificate can be freely consulted, with no account required. Only the submission of files is reserved for authorities.
What should I do if a property looks fraudulent?
Use the "Verify a certificate" page to check the authenticity of a code. If in doubt, report the anomaly to the responsible authority or the relevant regional delegation.
How do I report an error on a record?
Every record has a "Report / request a change" button. Your request is forwarded to the authority responsible for the property.
